We are delighted to have appointed Masyita Crystallin as Partner and Head of Sustainable Finance and Policy, Asia Pacific. With over a decade’s experience spanning government, finance and industry, Masyita is poised to supercharge Systemiq’s impact in the region, particularly to help mobilize capital for Indonesia’s green growth agenda.
Masyita brings a wealth of experience from the public and private sector, including serving as Senior Advisor to Indonesia’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Maritime and Investment Affairs. She has also held senior roles at prestigious institutions including the World Bank, the World Resources Institute, DBS Bank, and Indonesia’s state-owned holding company for insurance, underwriting and capital markets (IFG). Masyita is currently the Deputy Co-chair of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action, where she continues to play a pivotal role in reforming international and domestic financial systems to accelerate climate action.
Masyita’s appointment underscores the growing demand for sustainability solutions in the Asia Pacific region, and strengthens Systemiq’s ability to work with APAC governments, investors and businesses to generate value from sustainability. It also highlights Systemiq’s commitment to climate leadership from the Global South as part of its growing footprint in Indonesia and Brazil.
Systemiq has been an agent of systemic change globally”, said Masyita Crystallin. “I am truly humbled to take on this responsibility and am excited to work with our partners as we demonstrate the growth opportunities that exist in our transition to a net zero economy. For Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region, the transition to a low-carbon, nature-positive and equitable society is a major investment opportunity. It can create millions of jobs, enhance resilience to economic and environmental challenges, and reduce health issues and poverty simultaneously.
We are also delighted to confirm the appointment of Peter Hulshof as Partner, Energy Transition, based in the Netherlands.
