Like many organisations working for climate action and sustainable development, we will be closely following the conversations in and around COP28 in Dubai. You’ll find us sharing knowledge and learning from others – with a special focus at this year’s conference on climate finance and the role of nature-based solutions.
Members of the Systemiq team will at COP 28 in Dubai as speakers, conveners and event hosts, exploring the pathways to more sustainable economies and globally just transitions.
Systemiq works across energy, materials and the circular economy, nature, finance and cities – always with a focus on accelerating collective solutions.
We’ve shared a selection of our engagement events below. Please contact us with enquiries about the events, or if you have a media/press opportunity that aligns with the programme below.

Reshaping our food systems: Landscape transformation for people, nature, and climate

Regeneration needs to occur at 4 spatial levels – farm, regional, national, value chain. Much of the corporate and investor focus has been on value chains and farms, ignoring landscapes layer, which is a vital entry point for organizing, incentivizing, and observing regenerative outcomes. We need to foster closer collaboration between actors at each level, landscape-level initiatives show us this is possible as we learn from integrated landscape approaches with regenerative outcomes.
The event is coordinated by Regen10, a FOLU Global Initiative.

With an address by the Food and Land Use Coalition’s Executive Director, Morgan Gillespy, this is the official global launch of the design guidance for a regenerative outcomes measurement framework rooted in the perspectives of farmers and landscape stewards. Once fully developed, the framework will overcome the disconnects between the prevailing 115 frameworks which largely align towards shallower notions of regenerative, thereby building a critical bridge between agroecological, regenerative and Indigenous foodways.
The event is coordinated by Regen10, a FOLU Global Initiative.
